Volunteer Requirements
Concession Dibs
Wausau Youth Baseball & Softball (WYBS) is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization. The organization fully depends on its members to contribute the time, effort, and resources necessary to provide high-quality baseball programming at all age levels. The time and talent that each family contributes to WYBS offsets the cost of playing baseball. The goal is to distribute the enormous workload amongst all families.
The involvement of our WYBS families is what makes us a successful organization, and provides the opportunity for the development of baseball and life skills for our players. Having a profitable season at Doepke Concession stand helps offset operating costs and keeps player registration fees affordable. WYBS will be requiring each baseball family to volunteer for 4 hours (Rookie – Major levels) for the 2026 baseball season.
Concession stand worker requirements:
-workers must be at least 14 years of age to work and receive credit for a Dibs shift
-there must be at least one adult working in the concession stand at all times
-workers must be at least 16 years of age or older to use the deep fryers and/or grill
