ROOKIE LEAGUE
This is an advanced developmental league that prepares young players for little league baseball in a supportive environment. The focus of this league is on skill development and participation. WYB&S has revamped the level of play and rules for the 7-8-year-old group. Athletes are introduced a pitched ball (either coach pitch or pitching machine), outs, and innings. Chalked baselines and batters box, may also be used at this level of play.
Cost
$70.00 (plus a $60 Concession fee that will be reimbursed when volunteer shifts are completed)
Season
Early May – Late June
Game times typically start at 6PM
What WYB&S Provides
WYB&S t-shirt to players. All team balls, bats, batting helmets, and catchers gear
What you need
Glove and plastic/rubber cleats are recommended

Play-up/down Requests
Play up/down requests need to be communicated by email to the league commissioner and approved by the board of directors. If your child is requesting to play-up to Minor league he/she will be required to attend the Minor League try-outs listed under Registration Information>>Minor League.
